People

Brian Zulaikha

Brian was a Director and founding partner of Tonkin Zulaikha Greer Architects prior to forming Studio ZAWA.

He has a special interest in environmentally sustainable design and the interplay of art and architecture. He has undertaken several projects specifically associated with these principles such as upgrades to the Art Gallery of NSW, National Centre of Indigenous Excellence and Carriageworks at Eveleigh. 

Brian was previously a president of the NSW Chapter of the Royal Australian Institute of Architects, and a national president of the Australian Institute of Architects.

DIRECTOR - B.ARCH, AIA

Colebee studied at the University of Sydney before working at Tonkin Zulaikha Greer Architects with Brian.

Having had opportunities to work on projects in Vanuatu and Yarrabah, an Aboriginal community outside Cairns, Colebee has a keen interest in delivering projects with positive community outcomes. Something he achieved as project architect of Ngununggula Art Gallery in Bowral, recipient of an AIA NSW and National Trust award.

He also has a passion for craftsmanship, materials and furniture design, something which informs his approach to detail and collaboration in the architectural design process.
